Hummus Bros partners with Judo Payments for queue-busting mobile app

App to harness customer loyalty and maximise sales during busy lunchtime rush by reducing queueing time.

17 February, London 2015Judo Payments (“Judo”,, Europe’s only mobile-first payments platform, today announces its partnership with Levantine inspired restaurant chain Hummus Bros.

Judo’s technology enables Hummus Bros’ loyal customers to beat the lunchtime rush through a seamless and intuitive mobile experience. Customers who know what they want before stepping in-store can now maximise their lunch hour by using the Hummus Bros app to order and pay wherever they are, then collect their meal when it’s ready.

Hummus Bros is the latest Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) to deploy judo’s technology to simplify payments within its mobile app. Other judo customers include fast food chain KFC and coffee shop Harris + Hoole.

The Hummus Bros app uses judo’s technology which is built specifically for mobile devices and enables faster transactions, higher completion rates and lower checkout abandonment.

Critically, judo’s mobile-specific fraud prevention technology enables real-time fraud scoring, so businesses can overcome security and fraud concerns – two significant potential barriers to mobile payment adoption.

The partnership with Hummus Bros follows judo’s recent announcement that it has secured an additional £6m in funding to drive growth in the rapidly expanding mobile commerce sector.

Christian Mouysset, Co-Founder at Hummus Bros, said,

“Working with judo was a no-brainer for Hummus Bros as their platform enables us to serve our delicious and healthy food to even more customers during the incredibly busy lunchtime rush. The technology will improve the experience for our loyal customers who know their preferences ahead of walking in-store. It also frees up our staff to spend more time introducing new customers to our expanding menu. Judo’s platform makes it quicker and easier for our customers to get what they want, when they want it.”

Dennis Jones, CEO at judo, said,

“New innovators like Hummus Bros are able to respond nimbly to changes in consumer behaviour. Making a payment via Hummus Bros’ app is quick, seamless and easy for their customers. We’re pleased to be working with Hummus Bros and helping them to capitalise on the opportunities for growth that mobile commerce creates.”

About Hummus Bros

Hummus Bros was founded in August 2005 by Ronen Givon and Christian Mouysset.

Hummus Bros pioneered the concept of the hummus bowl – a layer of hummus with a delicious topping such as beef stew, falafel salad, guacamole or tabouleh. Everything, including the hummus, is made daily in-house in their fully SALSA-accredited central kitchen and is delivered fresh to shop every morning.

Through its four shops in Soho, Holborn, Cheapside and Exmouth Market, Hummus Bros now serves over 6,000 customer per week with its delicious, Levantine inspired food.

In mid-2013, Hummus Bros began opening pop-up restaurants in corporate spaces in the City, in partnership with 3 major facilities management companies.
